With the Iowa State Fair just around the corner, that means you will find Ackley’s Little German Band presenting a sneak preview concert of their Iowa State Fair program on Monday, August 4, starting at 6:30 PM at the Wellsburg City Park Bandshell. The band will present a wide variety of entertaining polkas, marches, and show tunes.
This will be an extra special concert as it will be the first performance in the newly refurbished bandshell, including the magnificent patriotic mural. In addition, the new adaptive playground is completed and ready for the children to play while parents and grandparents enjoy the music.
Fattee’s Handbreaded Tenderloins will be on site with their food truck to satisfy any appetite. Yella Brella Ice Cream will have vanilla, chocolate, and twist ice cream to provide cold and tasty treats. The Filling Station will have popcorn and watermelon available with a freewill donation.
Bring your lawn chair and enjoy a fun evening in the park. On Saturday, August 9, come see the German Band as they perform in Pioneer Hall at the Iowa State Fair starting at noon.
