The Waterloo Housing Authority is offering another free home buyer education course. The four sessions, held at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, start on Tuesday, May 20 and run for two hours each. Participants must attend all four to receive a certificate.
Topics covered include managing your money, understanding credit, determining what you can afford, applying for a mortgage loan, buying a home, and shopping for one.
Registration is required and limited to the first 30 received. Please bring current paystubs for each working household member to 620 Mulberry st and fill out an application. The class is a prerequisite for down payment assistance and voucher home ownership. Thanks to Veridian Credit Union for being a sponsor.
