Marriage is a lot of work. Sometimes I find it difficult, so much so, I quit working at it. Resentment builds and life at home stinks. No one has a perfect marriage and everyone goes through rough times. Those times are meant to strengthen us not tear us apart, but additional help to get through them could make a huge difference.
Keys to Living helps with not only marital problems but also other personal issues you or your family may be facing. They have locations in Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and Iowa City. Their phone number is 319 377-2161.

Prom is just around the corner. What are some tips or advice you have when it comes to getting your teens ready for prom?
Some of the tips we heard this morning:
Check out Goodwill for gently used and only-worn-once dresses.
Have fun trying on your dream dress even if you can’t afford it…and bring a camera to remember the fun experience.
Practice wearing heels if you haven’t worn them before. You don’t want to be remembered as the girl that had to have an ambulance come to treat a broken ankle.
Give yourself time to shop. Have fun and don’t rush.
Invite your friends over and have them bring there previous formal event gowns and swap.
Buying a tux might be more cost effective.
Comfort is an important part of your attire.
REMEMBER there are many temptations on prom night that can lead to some tough choices for teens. Talk with them. Empower them to make the right choices when it comes to relationships, drugs and alcohol and all around safety and respect for themselves and property on that special night.
