Caribbean Cruise Winner!

Congratulations to Life 101.9’s Caribbean Cruise Getaway Grand Prize Winner: Pastor Rick Vesely.

This is what Shirlee shared when she originally nominated Rick to go on the cruise:

Rick has been a pastor for the last 16 years in Traer. He and his wife Jan have been very involved in the community for the past 16 years. He received the citizenship award for Traer on 2008. He was on the economic board for underprivileged people. He has been involved with coaching. Announcing for football and basketball games. He was also involved as a Young Life Leader.
Rick has given a lot of his life and time to others. A big desire of his was to see his congregation go deeper with God.
Recently he has been diagnosed as having ALS. I would like to see some of what he has given to others given back to him and his wife in appreciation. Thank you!

Thanks so much for having the cruse giveaway.. I can say Rick and Jan were the best people to win.. If it wasnt for Rick I would not be going to church, I left the church when I got out of high school. Thought I didnt need any of that God stuff anymore. My wife got me to go with her to church Rick was so cool, asked me a few questions then I got a few phone calls, next thing i know im helping out in my spare time. True Love for God and all his people! Rick is not only a great pastor hes a great friend!

Thank you all at 101.9. I live in Urbandale, so don’t get to listen to your station (I listen to the Christian station Pulse 99.5 here in town). Rick Vesely is my uncle and he’s been a role model and blessing to me my entire life. He and Jan are wonderful people and so deserving.
