Campbell’s Recall

I find that there are two types of people when it comes to Spaghetti-O’s:  people who love them and people who don’t.  Growing up, I liked Spaghetti-O’s because we didn’t have them that often, so it was a treat for me.  This popped into my head today when I saw that Campbell’s is recalling 15 million pounds of Spaghetti-Os.  Apparently during their creation, some of the meatballs didn’t get heated as to as high a temperature as they should have been.  They were made between December 2008 and June 2010.  The bottom of the can has “EST 4K” and a use by date between June 2010 and December 2011.  For more information, check out this article.

Washer Recall

There are a few basic steps involved in washing clothes: put the clothes in the washer, add the soap, turn it on.  When it’s done, take the clothes out and put them in the dryer and hang them on the line.  Not one of those steps?  Burn clothes to a crisp.   So GE decided to recall some of their front loading washers that could do just that due to some faulty wiring.  Find out if your washer is affected along with more info about the recall at the CPSC website.

Honda Recall

Back when I owned my old ‘91 Honda Civic, there was a day I was driving and all the sudden my brakes sunk down and I had to push really hard to get the car to stop.  I brought it in to have it looked at and it turned out that I had a broken brake line.  That’s not the problem with 2007-8 Honda Odysseys and Elements, but it’s still disconcerting when your brakes don’t respond like they should.  Due to complaints, these vehicles are being recalled to have some of those brake parts replaced, and the recall is scheduled to start on April 19th.  Honda has more details at their website here.
