Cool Websites

It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane…

One of the worst conundrums ever is the inability to figure out what to make for dinner.  Especially when you have a cupboard and a fridge full of food, but no idea what to make with any of it.  A new website called Supercook may be able to help you.  Just enter in the ingredients you have and Supercook finds recipes you can make with those items.  I put in chicken breasts, hot sauce, garlic, butter, and noodles; Supercook told me I could make Spicy Grilled Chicken Breasts.  Sounds good.

A Wallet Friendly Valentines

The guys over at Lifehacker have come up with a list of some activities submitted by their readers that you could for Valentine’s Day that won’t hurt your budget.  Check it out here!

What’s in a Name?

One of things I heard a lot  growing up was that I “was unique and special.”  Now, thanks a new website called “How Many of Me?” you can find out just how unique you are.  When you visit, you can enter your first and last name, and it’ll tell you how many of you there are in the US.  When I put in my full first name, Michael, I was informed that are 17 Michael Lansers in the US.  When I shortened to Mike…well let’s just say, there’s only one me.

Forget Something?

Something I’ve learned about myself is that it’s really easy for me to forget.  I can forget pretty much anything.  If I don’t write it down, I’ll get halfway through my work day before I remember something I should have done right when I got there.  If you’re always trying to find ways to organize life before it devolves into chaos, I found a website you can check out.

It’s called Remember the Milk.  You can sign up for an account and then start adding tasks to your day.  Then you can add due dates and times, and have it send you an email or a text message to remind you.  Plus it’s all free.  You can try it out here.
