Under the weather

Life is full of firsts.  Especially life as a small child.  Over the weekend we discovered that Bekah, our one year old, was experiencing another first: her first ear infection.  This one definitely wasn’t on our list.  I don’t even know if there’s a place for it in that baby calendar/book of firsts we have at our house.  Regardless, we got the news at Urgent Care last night and medication started soon after.  Either Bekah was feeling hospitable last night, or the medication is already kicking in, because she slept most of the night away, with one small wake-up early this morning.  If this keeps up, the rest of may be able to finally get over our colds too.

Tylenol Recall

There’s another recall out on some Tylenol and Motrin products from Johnson and Johnson.  The recall relates to the fact that some of the products have a moldy smell to them.  That would make me nervous too.  If you want more information about the recall, click here.

Laptop Recall

Laptops and netbooks are a great way to take your work, fun, or just your internet with you.  I know there have been many occasions where my wife has wished we had a laptop so she could get work done without having to be tied to her desk upstairs.  One of the potential risks of laptops though is that everything is contained in one small case, and if anything goes wrong with any of the parts, that laptop is very close to you.

Acer has just put out a recall on a number of their laptops.  A short circuit under the palm rest for an internal microphone has caused damage, but thankfully no injuries yet.  If you own one of the laptops, you can call Acer to get a free repair done.  Find information about which models are recalled here.
