A bump, a bruise, a cut, or a scrape are the sorts of things your kids encounter day to day.  And they depend on you to make them better again.  Maybe you’ve heard that when you hurt, you should try to think happy thoughts, to ignore the pain.  Instead, maybe you should encourage your kids to think of happy meals.  Researchers from the University of Wisconsin have found that pain is eased when we turn our thoughts to food.  The downside of course is that once we’re all patched up, we’re still hungry.
